Football Memories

Football Memories League serves the Alzheimer Scotland Football Memories project and aims to provide football images for reminiscence activity. Scotland’s Football Archive represents thousands of images from the history of the game in Scotland. These images can act as memory triggers for people with dementia and can assist with short term memory recall. Football Memories also provides a social network for those who are elderly and isolated and share a common love for the beautiful game.

Football Memories is based at Hampden Park, Scotland’s national stadium but there are more than 400 groups being held across the country in community facilities, nursing homes and football clubs. The Scottish Football Museum is also based at Hampden Park and manages a collection of national and international importance.
